With my workouts in full swing, I would be remiss if I didn’t tell you one of the key things to surviving HIIT or my Zumba Classes training: A BOMB SPORTS BRA! Currently, I am 44D. Now I know that it’s not the biggest size…as far as boobs go. But, my workouts are a lot smoother and less exhausting when my breast are strapped down.
According to Overstock, the benefits of a sports bra (vs. a bathing suit bra or your everyday bra) are:
- Sports bras are best for support during exercise. They are important for maintaining the integrity of the breast wall and the shape of the breast. Too much intense movement can cause ligaments surrounding the breasts to stretch and tear. Much of this damage is irreversible, and it causes drooping, sagging breasts; however, the right sports bra offers enough support to prevent this condition from occurring prematurely.

For example, their increased coverage and wider straps distribute breast tissue evenly. Their general lack of underwires, firm ribbing, and delicate fabrics makes it easier for you to move around. Because they minimize breast movement, sports bras also minimize chafing or rubbing.

I am so loving this post! I’ve been working our for maybe 4 years now and I obviously always wear a sports bra but I had no idea what was the real reason behind it after discomfort obviously!

I can definitely relate! A good supportive bra makes such a big difference in your workout! It use to be so painful when I worked out in a not so good bra. I would even wear 2 bras at the same time just for the extra support Thanks for sharing!
