If you’ve been following my Instagram, then you’d know that I’ve been traveling! In the past, I would just throw everything into my suitcase and hope for the best when I arrived at my destination. Today, I have a little more tact when traveling. No more throwing random 4-inch heels and club outfits in my luggage, now I travel with comfort and style in mind.
As you know, I recently became a LOFT ambassador, and today’s blog post will highlight some of my fashion must-haves for long vacations or weekend get-a-ways with the ladies. Before we get into what to pack, I have to address the clothing I need to travel in. I need to be comfortable when traveling. The longer the flight the more comfort that I need. I used to be a sneaker, sweats and hoodie traveler, but now I like comfort and class. While browsing the LOFT’s website, I was immediately enamored by the LOFT PLUS SHIMMER OPEN CARDIGAN. If you ask my friends, they’ll tell you I’ve worn this cardigan to both of our trips thus far. It’s warm enough for the chilly temps on the flights, but very lightweight–which allows me to wear it hot temps or fold into my tote when I get to my warm destination.
Then onto pants and tops. To continue with comfort, I opted to try the LOFT PLUS SAILOR RIVIERA PANTS. They are very stretchy so that you don’t feel constricted but after wearing them a couple of times, they do not lose their integrity. Also, LOFT PLUS TIE HEM DOLMAN TEE continues to provide the comfort of a white tee, but with more style because it isn’t see-thru and has a tie accent at the bottom. You can choose to crop it or wear it long as I did.
Accessories are very important to me, especially when they are accessories you’ll continue to wear throughout the trip. A nice straw hat and sandals are always my go too after grabbing my shades. In sunny St. Lucia, I wore both my REFINED SLIDE SANDALS and STRAW FEDORA every day. Also, getting around the airport and security checkpoints were a breeze because I only had to slide my sandals on and of.
Now onto my preferred outfit! Every time I travel, for some reason I would pack a whole bunch of heels that I NEVER end up wearing! I just don’t understand the logic. But since block heels are coming back in style, I pack about four of them for every trip. LOFT’s ROUND HEEL MULES were such a hit for me while I was at Essence Fest. No more hurting in heels or having to wear Converses. My leopard print mules provided the comfort I needed to sustain. the long days. Also, ditch the bulky bags for your travels. LOFT’s POM POM STRAW CIRCLE CROSSBODY BAG was spacious enough for me to carry my phone, a few of my travel essentials, and more! Also, the design was too cute not grab it!
Every trip I go on always has an all-white party attached to it. I am not sure why but when I got the LOFT PLUS WIDE LEG RIVIERA PANTS, my fear of wearing white pants on vacation disappeared. These pants are a comfortable fit and pairing them with LOFT’s PLUS LEOPARD PRINT TIE HEM LINEN TEE was pretty much perfect.
