Happy Monday Friends! I’ve been hanging out with my close family in Atlanta. During this time, I’ve been taking a big mental break and just bonding with my closest family and friends. It’s been pretty scary meeting up with family but I think a lot of us were sad and anxious when we realized that we couldn’t see each other. To that end, we spend a lot of time in parks, by lakes, and away from a lot of crowds.
While Atlanta, GA is known for how the temps can get really high, the night time breeze and shady areas can get really chilly. For that, I had to pack various outfits that would suit each possible weather situation. It’s been a while since I’ve featured clothing at Ulla Popken so I thought I would show you what I packed for my trip to Atlanta.
Sizing Transparency: Size up on everything. I typically wear a full size 22 but I sized up to a 24 or 26 in most clothing.
Heat Heat Heat!
For the days where the sun is beaming down, a loose-fitting tunic and shorts often do the trip. I absolutely adore this tunic from Ulla Popken. It can be used as a shirt to pair with jeans or shorts? When it’s really hot in Atlanta, loose-fitting clothing always wins! And remember, belts are always your best friend so don’t’ be afraid to belt it.
For the night where it started to get chilly but we sat out by the lake or park, adding some jeans into the mix really helped. The other day, it was 50 degrees Fahrenheit. For that, a little denim on denim did the trick. Ulla Popken’s Denim Look Long Sleeve Cotton/Lyocell Blouse was pretty lightweight but gave an extra layer of protection when I needed it the most. I paired the top with their Button Front Slim Leg Sarah Fit Jeans. These were a great fit and will transition perfectly for the fall!
Now, brunch is a very serious thinig out here in ATL. I noticed most places only allowed 50% capacity at their establishments. However, people still looked stunning in their Sunday’s best! With that, I thought I would have a mix between lightweight clothing and some denim– just to reduce the amount of packing I had to do. I paired the Button Front Slim Leg Sarah Fit Jeans with Burnout Stripe Round Neck Shirt. I needed something loose fitting around the stomach so when I was finished eating, I didn’t feel so trapped by clothing. Threw on my most comfortable heels and I was ATL Bruch ready! Comfortable and cute!
All in All, the trip was a major success and I loved my outfits because they really fit my personality and style.
