Spring Looks with Metrostyle

Spring Collection 2019

Happy Tuesday! Today is one of the warmest days of the year which makes this post with Metrostyle so timely! Remember my last time I featured Metrostyle? A few years later I am back at it again featuring some of my favorite pieces from their latest collection. For me, warmer temps are perfect for trying out that white pant or lighter colors when it comes to work wear. Metrostyle has variety of looks to fit the modern work and play woman! Today, I wanted to share of my Spring picks from Metrostyle. I am really big on buying transitional pieces, so if you see them on other outfits I post, don’t judge me. Basic turtlenecks and dark denims are just two examples of staple pieces that transition well throughout the season. So without going into too much detail, lets get started on featuring these looks.

The Weekender

This is what I call “The Weekender”. White blazers are such a delicacy for plus size women. A great quality white blazer is even rarer. The Open Ruched Sleeve Blazer immediately caught my attention. I actually wore it to my nephew’s communion this past weekend. Having an item that you can wear to work or for play is crucial for anyone’s baseline wardrobe. To add a little bit of femininity to the look, the Sleeveless Mockneck Top with soft pattern of lace did the trick for me! Lastly, denim is my best friend. And Metrostyle’s  Super Slimmer® Smooth Waist Straight Leg Jeans should be every fashionista’s best friend. With a wide waistband for a smooth, there’s no uncomfortable stabbing in the stomach region. Pairing with it with my favorite accessories really brought it to life!

All Work…Just a Little Play

As I am typing this, I am happy to say that I am graduating this month! While I fortunately already have a great job, my degree is providing the tools so that I can level up in my career. No better way to show off my leveling up than to do it in style. Metrostyle’s collection of two piece suits are amazing! The Notch Lapel Suiting Blazer is such a vibe! I love how it fits my curves as if it were made for me but it’s so comfortable in the same breath! The Seasonless Wide Leg Suiting Pant is perfect if you are bottom heavy as well. Usually my suit pants turn into high water pants, but these are perfect and need no alteration!

Date Night on the Boardwalk

Date nights were my favorite! But due to all the schooling and working I’ve been doing, I haven’t had one of those in a while. However, I am happy that a found a cute outfit for my next one. I really loved Metrostyle’s Sleeveless Maxi Dress as dress, but I wanted to try something different with it: wearing it as a long-line vest! After showing my looks to my friends, all of them want to try the dress too. I am all about getting multiple uses out of my clothing and now I can wear this as a vest and dress at my leisure. I paired the look with Metrostyle’s White Jeans, and my mockneck from the previous outfit to show versatility in their selections. Oh! And how can I forget the most comfortable block heels ever! The Two-Band Slide by Boston Design sandals are amazing! If you like feels but they are a little difficult for you to wear, these are the shoes for you!

Denim All Around

As you can see, denim is a Spring Favorite over on the blog! Since I am not into jumpsuits this was the PERFECT segue into me getting familiar with them. I remember going back and forth with deciding whether or not I wanted to buy one. VOILA! I actually love Metrostyle’s Side Tie Cropped Jumpsuit! I paired it with Metrostyle’s sandals and metroblues® Modern Jean Jacket for those chilly days that often spring up on us in New England.

Lastly,  I wanted to introduce the latest feature to my space: Videos! I partnered with Grayland Seales to bring my outfits to life! I believe it’s important that we, as bloggers, showcase how outfits flow on us. In a picture, it’s just one dimension of an outfit, but a video shows not only movement in the clothing, but the true dimensions on the fuller figure!

Hope you love it!

Chardline!

I just want to thank you for this blog. Your style is completely my style but for these past few years I have been really un comfortable with my body because I have never been this big before. It’s a learning experience for me adjusting to this new figure. Your blog is so professional and well put together that I have been spending the past thirty minutes obsessing over it.

Thank you for everything you are doing. And keep up the great work! Thanks.
