I made good on my promise to start featuring some plus size Target dressing room try-ons for my readers. If you haven’t watched my recent videos, make sure you check out my Dressing Room Chronicles highlight on Instagram. A few of you already bought this skirt and I didn’t even get to shoot it! So I’ll try and do the dressing room try ons every week.
Even though I am still getting the hang of the whole dressing room try on thing, I’m still trucking along. One of the looks that emerged from my dressing room try on was this leopard outfit! I am completely in LOOOOOOOVE with this look, okay!
The first item that I found when I got to Target was the Women’s Plus Size Animal Print Midi Skirt – Ava & Viv™ Brown. It was instantly calling me because anyone who knows me knows that I believe leopard print is a solid color. At first, I grabbed a 3x because I wasn’t too sure how much stretch the skirt would have. But, after trying it on, a 2x was perfect for my 42inch waist. I love how breathable and flowy this skirt is. It’ll transition well into the summer if I paired it with some sandals and a bandeau.
If you watched my dressing room try on, I was initially going to do leopard on leopard, but I found another look that worked way better, in my opinion. Target has great plus size basics and their Women’s 3/4 Sleeve Mock Turtleneck T-Shirt – Prologue was perfect for this look. I am wearing a XXl.
After I got the basics together, I had to revisit the idea of adding more leopard print to the outfit. I know I know I know, it might seem like a lot for some, but I felt the most complete when I did it. I had to break out these pumps from JustFab. NOW CAUTION: These pumps aren’t for the faint of heart. Please break these in before wearing them. I made the mistake of not breaking them in first and I underestimated how tall they were. However, they are super cute! The Monika D’orsay Pump will turn heads!
If you are looking for a more comfortable alternative, check out the Augusta Block Heel Sandal. Also, the purse I had to pair because it basically overlapped with the pumps in the most perfect way. That’s the beauty of shopping in the same stores for shoes and accessories. The Colorblocked Messenger Bag from JustFab was pretty much sealed the deal on the entire look.
And voila! The look is complete! So what did you think? Also, if there are other stores you’d like to do more try ons at, just let me know…I will be more than happy to play dress up for the cause!
