I know it’s been an entire month since I’ve written on here. And even though I’ve been low-key on the social front, I’m trying to get it together. I am a point in my life where I am blessed with opportunity, but my energy, zest, and enthusiasm seem to be low. The last time I’ve felt energized and on my P’s and Q’s was when I was consistently active.
When I used to attend Zumba classes 3x times a week, my energy was through the roof. I loved it! Aside with the intended weight loss benefits, my dealing with stress became easier. I knew that problems wouldn’t go away immediately, but for those 60 mins, I was focusing on myself! Also, I would finally fall asleep as soon as I hit the bed—and all my close friends know that this NEVER HAPPENS ANYMORE. I trainer maybe 5 or 8 times a month with OJ of OjFit_ but I wanted to take it up a notch! So, I’ve decided to put myself back into consistent activity with TRILLFIT!
What is TRILLFIT?
As seen in the Boston Globe, InStyle, NBC, and much more, TRILLFIT is Boston’s original hip-hop workout party. They believe that fitness should be fun, inclusive, and set to the illest soundtrack. Any class that endorses twerking is a class you should try! I’ve been to a couple of classes in the past when I’ve had time, and they were AMAZEBALLS!
The classes they currently have are:
Sculpt- Our signature strength training class focuses on tightening and toning the whole body with an emphasis on booty work. Fusing elements of HIIT, core work, Pilates, and body weight exercises targeted towards arms, abs, legs, thighs, and butt, Sculpt will have you feeling the burn and looking back at it all damn day. We promise. Bring your own mat. All levels welcome.
TRILLFIT- Our signature dance class blends Beyonce-worthy choreography (we love a good twerk sesh) with multiple rounds of HIIT, to sweat your way to a tighter, toned body. Sneakers Required. All levels welcome
HIP HOP YOGA (my fave)- A slow flow vinyasa class that explores and deepens the connection between mind and body, while stretching and restoring the body from the inside out. Set to the sounds of DJ Nick Bishop spinning a live soundtrack of hip-hop and R&B, this class takes you deeper into your yoga practice with that same TRILLFIT spark. Be prepared to sweat and rejuvenate. Bring your own mat. All levels welcome.

With that said, I am going to challenge myself to 15 days of TRILLFIT! Even though their classes conflict with my school classes, I am going to push myself to attend Trillfit between now and November 16th …at least 15 times! By doing this, I am hoping to regain that energy and zest for life again. I am also hoping to see these curves morph back into the old Chardline I once knew!
