I’ve probably referenced my commitment to wearing more outgoing clothing at least 10 times this year. Some days I want to let it all out, other days I reach for my cinched waist skater dress. I am starting to accept the notion of balance. Understanding that whatever you choose to wear doesn’t define how beautiful you are, if you are the “right type” of curvy, or if you should be allowed to wear a certain type of style. Just wear what makes you feel comfortable–and if the critics have something to say, let them marvel at your beauty.
Anywho, today I took a big step out of my comfort zone and wore a crop and a fitted maxi skirt. Yea, it wasn’t always my cup of tea, but when I wore it I felt sort’ve liberated. I always taught to cover my FUPA and wear things that flatter my shape. While it’s true that some cuts and patterns look nicer on me than others, I didn’t want constrict myself because of a VBO . Reminiscing on the days I weighed 240 lbs and had more of an hourglass shape, pencil skirts and crop tops were my thing.
Fast forward to 2o16, I am 325 lbs and I’m shaped more like a rectangular, apple, pear–heck I am shaped like a fruit basket and I wouldn’t wear anything that didn’t draw attention to my stomach…until today. I never thought I would say this, but it actually takes courage for me to post these. Not because I don’t like the way they look, but because society will have memes from here to Zamunda …but that’s okay. Because nothing can take away the feeling I had when I put on my fitted skirt and my booty was popping! A huge thank you to Pink Clubwear for letting a sister feel sexy on a Saturday!

So what did you think? Did I slay?!?! If you don’t think I did–you couldn’t tell me otherwise lol.
