Slay-Sleigh Santa Baby!

Plus Size Red Holiday Dress

What are the holidays without a red dress? Every year I look for a dress that screams SANTA BABY! So instead of going to my “go to” spots, I found a stunning dress down at JD Williams–of course! I am telling you guys; JD Williams legit has a look for all seasons.

So I spotted this AX PARIS EYELASH LACE DRESS on their website last week and fell in love immediately. As of late, I’ve become a sucker for fit and flares! And before it gets too cold, I needed to wear my Santa Baby dress before it is too late! But just because it’s cold out, doesn’t mean I still can’t wear this dress in January. You bet I am going to wear it with understated heels and tights for a great evening or warmer look!

I paired it with my heels from Zara (which has been sold out for two years but thanks to Amazon, I found a replica) and my purse from Boohoo–again, sold out but Amazon came through again!

Even though the dress is sold out at JD Williams (because a good dress doesn’t last long), their sister company Simply Be has it too! Happy Shopping!

So what do you think? Do I look ready for SLEIGH BELLS?

Plus Size Peplum Shirt from Kierra Sheard's Eleven60 Collection Chardline

Chasing Dreams feat. Eleven60 by Kierra

In Fashion

It is already the day after Thanksgiving, and I am thinking of my master plan. One month until 2017 drops and I am so proud of the dreams that I have already accomplished. From getting into grad school to working to landing a feature in the New York Post, this year has been great to me. Another highlight of the year was working with some amazing brands. One name that tops the chart is Eleven 60.

About Eleven 60
In June 2015, Kierra Sheard spearheaded a soft launch of our Fall/ Winter Collection of Eleven60. Our designer has personally designed classic and refreshing looks for the professional curvy woman that is chic, sexy, bold and eclectic. Eleven60 honors the bold and classy nature of Kierra’s inspiration, her mother and Christian legend Karen Clark Sheard— Eleven60 is the month and year that Clark-Sheard was born. Our designer has crisscrossed the globe and absorbed the fashion trends of New York City, London, Paris, Tokyo, and Seoul. Eleven60 is poised to take curvy style to an unparalleled level. Kierra’s unique experience as a curvy fashionista has allowed her to design red carpet, a night out, and boardroom-ready apparel that will compliment every “body.” Sheard has partnered with Korean manufacturer, Kim So- Young, to offer the full figured woman quality garments.

When Kierra Sheard (btw, I sweat her mucho) reached out to me to do a product review, it was a win-win situation. I have always loved her aesthetic, and I know you guys would love her line too!

The Chasing Dreams Peplum top was the first item to catch my eye. It looks appropriate for the holidays, and I can wait to wear it to the annual New Year’s Party at my job! Just like 2016, 2017 will be all about CHASING DREAMS! A home by 30, a second degree by 30, etc. Moreover, if it does not happen by 30, I won’t get down on myself. I just have a clear view of where I want to see myself and no better way to do it then to envision it in a stylish manner!

There are so many ways that I could rock the shirt–but pairing it with jeans was the way to go for me. Excellent for dinner date too!

Plus Size Fall Outfit

The Perfect Plus Size Fall Outfit

In Fashion

False Alarm! For all the New Englanders who saw a little bit of snow touch the ground last weekend, it wasn’t real. To that end, we still have time to relish in the best season of the year; Fall. Why do I like Fall? It’s the best time to wear multiple layers and patterns without looking too crazy. To keep the JD Williams train going, I wanted to highlight more of the versatility of their brand. Last week, we went ALL OUT formal, this week, I went for Thanksgiving/Fall Classic. You know, the look that you can wear while making multiple rounds to everyone’s house? Yup–this is that look!

One color I haven’t played around with this season is the military green! I love military green but not as a standalone color, more so like black–you can pair it with anything. JD Williams has a beautiful Waterfall Crepe Duster Jacket that was the perfect fit. Now that we have the top out of the way, I had to search for a bottom. I needed something that was a staple piece and something I could over and over again. Alas, the Suedette Skirt comes into play. It’s very spacious at the top (I am wearing a size 22) and not once have the buttons popped. That’s a win in my book.

Lastly, the outfit needed a little pop, so I paired it with their Alice and You Striped Tunic Blouse. One thing I loved about this shirt was that you can wear it as a dress. I am wearing a size 20. But for ultimate fit, I would size up because it was a little snug in the arms.

So what do you think of my Fall/Thanksgiving Day Slay?

Reflecting on Chapter 28 feat. JD Williams

In Personal Style

Since the inception of Plus Size Beausion, I always made a .point to do the cliche blog post. You know the post with balloons and posting it on the day of your birthday. But this time, I took four days to reflect on why chapter 28 was going to be different. I did a mini social media fast and went to reflecting…for four days. I reflected on how beautiful 27 was and how much potential 28 had. One of the goals I laid out this year was to try new things. Go up to the guy and ask him out instead of hoping he’ll ask me. Not being afraid to let go of friends for the sake of having them–instead truly cultivating the meaningful relationships I have. In the spirit of trying new things, I decided to try a new brand

In the spirit of trying new things, I decided to try a new brand that has me in mind. Last week, I introduced JD Williams to the blog. A Britain-based brand that has all of our hips and curves in mind. When I was browsing on their website, I came across a dress that screamed PRINCESS– a term I wished my dad would’ve called me when I was a little girl. -Side note: always call your little girls princess, it sets the tone for how she should be treated-

The Studio 8 Aliona Dress is going to be all around favorite. From galas to weddings, and the holidays in between, this impressive quality dress is well worth the investment. With beautiful embellishments, this dress is a head turner with the grosgrain waist tie; it defines your waistline. So what do you think? Did I bring in chapter 28 with a bang?
