Last summer, all I saw were memes that discouraged plus size women from wearing maxi dresses or sundresses. None of them held water in my book. Maxi dresses are one of the most liberating things to wear. There is something about a maxi dress that makes me feel secure and beautiful. Maybe it’s because they are super stretchy–so breathing isn’t an issue. Maybe it’s because they are long–so attempting to cross my legs the whole day is out of the question. Or maybe my ass looks awesome in it. YEAAA, I’m pretty sure it’s the latter, but nonetheless I’m wearing at least one maxi dress every week.
Maxi dresses are so universal! My grandmother, my mother, my sister, and I all wear them to family BBQ’s. They always ask us if we coordinated it but in reality, we just like the way they make us look.
