Bella Styles Inspired

In Fashion, Plus Size Fashion

Well I decided to do another one of my features on another plus size blogger that I admire: Bella Styles ! She’s all about bright colors, vibrancy, curve hugging, and fun! With her amazing physique, she pulls off everything that she wears. I love her style because it is unique and refreshing. I tend to shy away from colors but Bella always makes me feel like it’s summer time!

Here’s a little bit about Ms Bella:

Bella Styles is a wardrobe stylist, fashion blogger and the Executive Fashion Editor with Skorch Plus-Size Magazine. Bella can wardrobe you for everyday attire, photo shoots or special occasions. With plus-size women it can often be a challenge to locate items that compliment your body type. Well no need to look any further. Being a curvy woman herself, Bella can accommodate clients with hard to find items such as extended size shoes to the latest in designer attire.

Since 2005, Bella’s career has included plus-size modeling, hosting countless workshops, seminars, fashion shows & model calls,  interviewing celebs, judging pageants and traveling near and far to gain experience in her field. Her styling work has been featured in numerous publications such as Ebony Magazine, Richmond Magazine and on CBS “Virginia This Morning”.

Bella Styles created her blog, “Trendy Curves”™ by Bella Styles,  in May 2010 to keep ladies up to date on current runway trends, styles and all the happenings in the fashion world.

Services consist of personal shopping, fashion styling, image consultation ( for straight size & plus-size women), party planning, gift purchases, home decorating, fashion show coordination and children’s styling.

I wanted to try playing with colors like Bella does. I am not really into the brightest of colors, and when I do experiment with bright colors, everything else needs to be black. Lol…so here’s Bella Inspired Outfit:

Anyone who knows me tries to understand my obsession with African Print. I first started experimenting with Ankara Print  at Curves Rock Weekend in 2013.

I was able to attend Curves Rocks Weekend and meet some amazing bloggers, models and even Tionna Smalls

But I really wanted to shine some light on amazing line called DemestiksNewYork!!

A little bit about DemestiksNewYork :

In the winter of 2007, Reuben Reuel left his hometown of Virginia Beach, VA to follow his dream in fashion. After working as a freelance sample maker and design assistant for several small design companies, he decided in 2010 it was time to create a business of his own. De-Mes’Tiks NYC by Reuben Reuel launched its first women’s wear label in 2010 in New York City exclusively sold on Creative director and founder Reuben Reuel is dedicated to provide contemporary, classic designs with a hint of vintage flair. The aesthetic of the label is finding fabrics that inspire creativity. He sees New York City’s Garment District as a designer’s treasure chest. The label’s initiative is to support domestic commerce by using fabrics, trims, notions, and production facilities in New York City in efforts to help preserve the Garment District. De-Mes’Tiks NYC by Reuben Reuel strongly believes in its motto: “Live to create, create to live”

DemestiksNewYork creates custom pieces in some of the most beautiful print that I’ve seen thus far! I have a wedding to go to this summer and I can’t wait to try out DemestiksNewYork’s pieces! They are vibrant, playful, elegant, and energetic all in one!
